Reflection
I wonder if Jeremiah could see Jesus? In the midst of all the battle, in the midst of bringing such a somber message, in the midst of the persecution, I wonder if Jeremiah could see Jesus? I think that maybe he could. I think he knew that there was a Savior and that all of this pain and sorrow and separation from God would finally end one day. The Chosen People were scattered all over the place and now Babylon was about to fall. What else could go wrong? Now what? That's why I think Jeremiah could see Jesus. Jeremiah knew that something much greater was to come. Jeremiah could see Jesus.

Can you look through the pain and suffering and sickness and see Jesus? Can you see the mercy and compassion and love? Will you, in the good times of health and riches and love, boldly proclaim the gospel of God's salvation? Can you see Jesus in the midst of your world? Thanks be to God, He's there!

Prayer
Lord, in the midst of daily life, I see You. I see You faithfully, lovingly and compassionately by my side. I go now in that faith and love and compassion to share all You have given and taught to me, this day. ---Amen
