Readings of the Day
Revelation 21-22-See, the home of God is among mortals. He will dwell with them; they will be his peoples, and God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away...then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city. On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month; and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Isaiah 9-10-The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness---on them light has shined...For a child has been born for us, a son given to us; authority rests upon his shoulders; and he is named Wonderful Counselor, Might God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. His authority shall grow continually and there shall be endless peace.
Psalm 111-He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever. Holy and awesome is his name.
Daniel 3.19-30-"Was it not three men that we threw bound into the fire?" They answered the king, "True, O king. " He replied, "but I see four men unbound, walking in the middle of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the fourth has the appearance of a god."

God's Word of the Day
Look and see! I have released you from the bondage of sin. Now go free in love to serve!

Story of the Day
This last week of school had been so much fun. Instead of work and so many classes. We had word games. Games of all sorts. We had extended recesses. This was a fun week. We grew closer together with one another. We grew fond of all of the teachers. Then it was the last day. The emotions were happiness, yet a fun kind of anticipation for another year. But first, we would play for a summer. We would exercise. We would read books just for the fun of it. We would go on vacation. We would be free! Happiness and laughter filled the air that last day of school!

Prayer of the Day
Lord, I look to that day when pain, tears and suffering will be no more. I look to You in hope. I look to You knowing that You have set and paved the way. I know there will be a day of laughter and joy in You. At times, so many times, You send blessing our way. Blessings that we don't even see or realize. I give You thanks and praise for all You have done. I am filled with joy and laughter and fun! Then there are the times that I need to endure pain and suffering. I know that You are in the fire by side. You know of the heat of the fire. You share my pain. But I still look forward to that summer vacation. And I look forward to the time we gather back together in work to serve in Your Kingdom. ---Amen
