November 11th Reflection - Triumphant - by Bill Lynch

Malachi 4:1–2a
The Great Day of the Lord

See, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch. But for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness shall rise, with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.

Reflection
The righteous will triumph on the last day. Triumphant not due to their own devices, but triumphant because of a loving and caring God that willingly sent Jesus into this world to save us from sin, death and the devil. We will rise on this day and leap for joy for the battle is won and we are free. Yes, we can rest assured that this life will not end in sorrow and tears and mourning. This life will continue in the love of the Savior for his people. A love we can trust in and place all of our hope in.

Evil will be vanished on this last day and those who have remained faithful will triumph in joy because of Jesus action of grace in this world.

Prayer
It's all because of you, dear Jesus, that we have life. May we live the life you give to us in the here and now to the fullest... full of love for you and full of love for one another... today... tomorrow... and forever. --- Amen
