January 26th Reflection by Bill Lynch

O for a thousand tongues to sing My dear Redeemer's praise
Author: Charles Wesley (1739)
Tune : AZMON

O for a thousand tongues to sing
my great Redeemer's praise,
the glories of my God and King,
the triumphs of his grace!

My gracious Master and my God,
assist me to proclaim,
to spread thro' all the earth abroad
the honors of your name.

Jesus! the name that charms our fears,
that bids our sorrows cease,
'tis music in the sinner's ears,
'tis life and health and peace.

He breaks the power of cancelled sin,
he sets the prisoner free;
his blood can make the foulest clean;
his blood availed for me.

To God all glory, praise, and love
be now and ever given
by saints below and saints above,
the Church in earth and heaven.

Text: Bill Lynch
The Lord has put his Spirit near,
Lord Jesus to be praised.
The scroll unrolls and we do hear,
how you come to us and save.

You speak you live out the Good News,
you tell it to the poor.
You open up the prisoner's views,
and open wide the door.

The blind will see the Word made flesh,
and walk beside you Lord,
Your kindness makes us wholly fresh,
you forever are Lord.

Praise to the Word eternal God,
our Savior and our King.
Let all creation hear you God,
throughout the world we sing.

Prayer
Jesus, open all of our senses that we may come to know you will and way for our lives... today... tomorrow and forever. --- Amen
