May 31st Daily Word and Visions from God

Romans 6-Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
1 Samuel 15- Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.
Psalm 60-O give us help against the adversary, for deliverance by man is in vain.
Luke 1.39-57-For the Mighty One has done great things for me; and holy is His name.
--- --- ---
See Me in dreams and visions and walk in My newness of life, now and forever.
---
One of my favorite things to do is to walk the dogs. I love their excitement in going for a walk. I get excited for the time to see creation, people and all the activity in life that God places before me from day to day. I get excited for a time to walk and think and see visions of God active in this world. I get excited to think of how to obey the voice of God. To hear His direction in life. To spend some time while walking to sort life out with the direction of God. I get excited to hear His direction and deliverance from my sin. I get excited to pause and notice the great things God does for me. I get excited to walk and pray and praise God in all His creation. Yea, I get excited in walking the dogs because I know that God is present in that walk with me and beside me. I get excited in walking with God in newness of life. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, walk with me this day. ---Amen

May 30th Daily Word and Visions from God

Romans 5-Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand; and we exult in hope of the glory of God.
Samuel 14-...perhaps the LORD will work for us, for the LORD is not restrained to save by many or by few.
Psalm 59-But as for me, I shall sing of Your strength; yes, I shall joyfully sing of Your lovingkindness in the morning, for You have been my stronghold and a refuge in the day of my distress.
Proverbs 8.1-4, 22-31-From everlasting I was established, from the beginning, from the earliest times of the earth.
--- --- ---
Adorn the Rock of Glory with the beauty I have given you.
---
We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus our Rock of Glory, makes us beautiful in this world. Through faith given by God he gives us beauty to enhance what Jesus has done for all people. God has worked for us. God is not restrained to save a few or many. God is not restrained at all but has provided throughout all time. Even in and before creation, Wisdom, Christ, and the Holy Spirit were already established. Established to His Glory. Be beautiful and sing with all your strength. Sing joyfully of His lovingkindness in the morning. God is our Rock of Glory, our stronghold and refuge.
---
Adorn the Rock of Glory with the beauty I have given you.
---
Lord, this morning, I sing of Your Glory! Thanks and all praise to You! ---Amen

May 29th Daily Word and Visions from God

Romans 4-Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, and whose sins have been covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the LORD will not take into account."
1 Samuel 13-You have acted foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the LORD your God, which He commanded you...
Psalm 58-...Surely there is a God who judges the earth!
Ezekiel 11.14-25-And I will give them one heart, and put a new spirit within them.
--- --- ---
Fuel your life with the fuel of salvation that I have freely given you.
---
If I think I can earn my salvation; I am mistaken. Salvation is a gift from God. John the baptist pleaded for people to repent and turn to God. We all need to repent of our sins and turn to God. In our sin we die. But God has freely offered His Son as a sacrifice for our sins to save us from sin and the penalty of death. I have acted foolishly and sinned. I have not kept the commandment of the Lord. Surely God will judge me as guilty. But even as I am guilty; God forgives my sin. Puts a new Spirit within me and makes my heart one in Him. God is the fuel of my salvation. I can't provide the fuel by my good works. But God provides the fuel. I can respond in love, trust and hope in God alone. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, it's only through You. When I think it's about me, I have sinned. Forgive me Lord and fill me with Your Spirit. ---Amen

May 28th Daily Word and Visions from God

Romans 3.9-31-What then? Are we better than they? Not at all; for we have already charged that both Jews and Greeks are all under sin...
1 Samuel 12-Do not fear. You have committed all this evil, yet do not turn aside from following the LORD, but serve the LORD with all your heart...Only fear the LORD and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
Psalm 57-My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises!
Joel 2.18-29-It will come about after this that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My spirit in those days.
--- --- ---
Each of you are uniquely beautiful in My sight.
---
A row of flowers. Some of the same variety but different colors, others are completely different. We like these flowers are all beautiful in God's sight. Yet we have all sinned. All of us. We have all committed evil. Even so, God loves us enough to provide a Savior for all time. A Savior that those in Old Testament times placed their hope and trust in to save. A Savior for those in New Testament times were able to witness His presence and place their hope and trust in to save. A Savior for those of us after the resurrection who place their hope and trust in to save.
---
Sometimes I tend to get all caught up in the woes of my life. How "bad" things are. But in this selfishness of mine I pause and see all the blessings. The blessings far outweigh the woes. God has granted me eternal blessing through His Son. God has given me an out. Why can't I turn from the woes and be thankful for the blessings? In this I see my sinfulness. I see and am ashamed of my short sighted vision. I need to see the visions of the young men. Visions that point to a life in and with my Savior. Serving Him, rejoicing with Him, in the hard times' working hard with Him; in the easy times, playing and having fun. A joy to be in mission with Christ and the work of the Spirit. A vision of hope and faith. Whenever I curl up and look inward at myself I turn sinful. But when I raise my gaze, open up my arms and hands, God graciously and abundantly fills me with His Love and Spirit. Wow! What an awesome God we have! I will sing! Yes, I will sing praises to God!
---
So let the Lord fill you with His Spirit. Open up like that flower and receive His Love and let His Spirit fill you. And like the flower in all it's beauty; sing praises, yes, sing praises to God!
---
Lord, forgive me when I turn inward upon myself. Concentrating on my woes. Show me the joy of Your blessing in Jesus Christ. Fill me with Your Spirit as I open my arms and hands to you. Fill my cup to overflowing with Your Love and Spirit. ---Amen

May 27th Daily Word and Visions from God

Romans 2.1-3.8-Therefore you have no excuse, everyone of you who passes judgment, for in that which you judge another, you condemn yourself; for you who judge practice the same things.
1 Samuel 10.17-11.15-Not a man shall be put to death this day, for today the LORD has accomplished deliverance in Israel.
Psalm 56-When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.
John 14.8-17, 25-27-I will ask the father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
--- --- ---
I am the Branch that brings Life, What feeds Me, feeds you. Receive the spirit and live and grow in Me.
---
We all have sinned. No excuses. If I pass judgment on others, I need also to pass judgment on myself. We all have sinned. We all depend on the deliverance that only God can provide. Deliverance from God from our sin. I must trust in God. I can do no other. I have sinned and cannot save myself. But thanks be to God that He forgives me and feeds me the Life giving power of His Spirit of truth. Feeds me with a Helper. God, through the Spirit of truth is with me forever. He feeds me and abides with me and is in me. I need nothing else. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, I need you! I struggle day by day with pain, death and sin. I need You! I need You to help me! I need You to guide me! I need You to comfort me! I need You to feed me! I just need You! Help me to live and grow in You. ---Amen

May 26th Daily Word and Visions from God

Romans 1.16-32-For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, "But the righteous mans shall live by faith."
1 Samuel 9.1-10.16-Then the Spirit of the LORD will come upon you mightily, and you shall prophesy with them and be changed into another man.
Psalm 55-Cast your burden upon the LORD and He will sustain you...
Romans 8.14-17-For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
--- --- ---
I will fill the space in your soul with My Spirit and send you out into My mission field.
---
Paul was not ashamed of the gospel. The gospel revealed the Light of God in Christ Jesus. There is nothing to be ashamed of in this. God will provide the faith each of us needs to go out into His mission field for the work He has assigned to each one of us. In salvation, God graciously gives us His Spirit and faith. Faith to trust and hope and lay all of our burdens on Him. God alone saves us and leads us by His Spirit. A Spirit that comes upon each one of us mightily, and changes each one of us at the very core of our being. It's God gift to us. Will you accept it? Or will you turn away to your own selfish ways? You have some space available that God chooses to fill. Choose to live by that faith and Spirit that God gives.
---
Lord, fill me this day with Your Spirit and send me into Your mission field. I believe and will follow. ---Amen

May 25th Daily Word and Visions from God

Romans 1.1-15-So, for my part, I am eager to preach the gospel to you also who are in Rome.
1 Samuel 8- Behold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now appoint a king for us to judge us like all the nations.
Psalm 54-Save me, O God, by Your name, and vindicate me by Your power.
Psalm 104.24-34, 35b-Let the glory of the LORD endure forever; let the LORD be glad in His works; He looks at the earth, and it trembles; He touches the mountains, and they smoke. I will sing to the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praise to God while I have my being.
--- --- ---
You are sinful, yet I love you. I free you from sin, I give you gifts to live your life to My glory.
---
We have all sinned. Paul and all the rest of us. Only Jesus was without sin, the rest of us have all sinned. Samuel sinned, Samuel's sons sinned, I sinned, you have sinned. We need God to save us.
---
The sign on this tree warns of a beetle that destroys other trees just like it. It's not too much different from my sin. I can't stop the beetle of sin from destroying me. But I can do some things to help live a life even with the sin. I can read, hear, and see the Word of God. I can listen to God's direction. I can praise and worship God. I can serve God. I can place all my trust and hope in God's salvation. God is mighty and is the only one who can save me. I can't save myself, nor can anyone else save me. So I will continue to live life in honor to God's victory won for me and you and all over sin and death, and trust in God. I will sing to the Lord as long as I live.
---
Lord, thank you for salvation. ---Amen

May 24th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 28.16-31-Therefore let it be known to you that his salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will also listen.
1 Samuel 6-7-Now Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.
Psalm 53-There is no one who does good, not even one.
Acts 2.1-21-And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit was giving them utterance.
--- --- ---
Let the glory of My Love and Salvation burst forth.
---
Even through all the struggles and adventures of Paul on his way to Rome, the glory of God shown to the Gentiles. The Gentiles were given salvation also. God's glory bursts forth in and through and all around us. In the filling of the Holy Spirit, we are sent to speak a clear message of His Salvation to all the world. A message in tongues of clear speech and words that all people can understand. Sometimes we think of "speaking in tongues" as a language that only some select people can understand. I think maybe it's more like what I think Luther meant in the proclamation of the Pastor in their sermons. The Gospel message is made clear to all in their own language. The message is made clear through the use of the gift of the Holy Spirit, speaking in and through us. Filled with the Spirit, Christians all over the world declare the glory of God and make clear the gospel message. We don't babble and speak "funny" words. We make God's message clear to each other with the Spirit speaking through us. That's speaking in tongues. That's the tongue God has gifted each of us with. Speak to someone today about how Jesus has come to save all of us. Speak to someone today about our God and praise Him.
---
Let the glory of My Love and Salvation burst forth.
---
Lord, fill me with Your Spirit that I may be filled with the clear Word of Your salvation this day and proclaim it to all I meet. ---Amen

May 23rd Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 28.1-15-But when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks and laid them on the fire, a viper came out because of the heat and fastened itself on his hand, When the natives saw the creature hanging from his hand, they began saying to one another, "Undoubtedly this man is a murderer, and though he has been saved from the sea, justice has not allowed him to live." However he shook the creature off into the fire and suffered no harm. But they were expecting that he was about to swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had waited a long time and had seen nothing unusual happen to him, they changed their minds and began to say that he was a god.
1 Samuel 4-5-"Israel has fled before the Philistines and there has also been a great slaughter among the people, and your two sons also, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God has been taken." When he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell off the seat backward beside the gate, and his neck was broken and he died, for he was old and heavy.
Psalm 52-I trust in the lovingkindness of God forever and ever.
Ezekiel 3.12-21-So the Spirit lifted me up and took me away...
--- --- ---
I bind your wounds
I fill you with My Spirit.
I send you out with My gifts to spread My Word.
---
A tree that has been damaged, I suppose by some wind. It has been patched and repaired. God takes care of me from day to day. When the snakes of life attack, I must depend and trust that God will save me from the dangers of this life. Someday one of those dangers may be it for me. But I guess that will be my time then. But till that happens, I will trust in God and his lovingkindness. I will continue to speak about His Word in all the situations I encounter in this life. Trust God and never turn Him into a symbol like the Israelites did with the ark. The ark was lost in battle and so were they. They had turned from God being mislead by Eli's priestly sons. God was not present in the ark. God's presence is above the ark on the mercy seat of a cross. God saves us through His action and His love. God does not save us by our actions and trust in an earthly ark, but God has saved us in our trust of an earthly Savior in Jesus Christ. It's God's action not ours that saves us. And through Jesus, God bound our wounds of sin, filled us with His Spirit and sends us out into the world to spread the Gospel of His Word. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, when the snakes of life bite, I will continue to trust You. I will witness to Your Word even through the snake bites. ---Amen

May 22nd Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 27.13-44-Therefore I encourage you to take some food, for this is for your preservation, for not a hair from the head of any of you will perish. Having said this, he took bread and gave thanks to God in the presence of all, and he broke it and began to eat. All of them were encouraged and they themselves also took food.
1 Samuel 3- Speak, LORD, for Your servant is listening.
Psalm 51-O Lord, open my lips, that my mouth may declare Your praise.
2 Chronicles 5.2-14-...in unison when the trumpeters and the singers were to make themselves heard with one voice to praise and to glorify the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice accompanied by trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and when they praised the LORD saying, "He indeed is good for His loving kindness is everlasting," then the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud, so that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
--- --- ---
Listen to my voice, under, above, around and through you.
---
God speaks to us in so many ways. Mainly through His Word. The written Word, the spoken Word, and His Word made flesh, Jesus. God speaks through His Spirit. That Great Cloud that permeates everything. Fills all creation with His Voice and the gifts of His Spirit. God's work is done in and through us. God is ever present. When in ship wrecks; God is there. God may be present in dreams. God is present in worship. God is present when we come together and speak, think, pray, praise and worship Him. God's Voice is all around and present in so many ways, we can't even grasp all of them.
---
I look at this marker of an underground communication cable, buried. I think God communicates for sure. Maybe even from underground. But I think it's way beyond just one way of communicating. Listen to Him. Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.
---
Lord, we talk every day. We talk to one another. I talk---You talk---I listen to Your advice and counsel. Direct my steps this day. When I need to talk, put Your Word in my mouth. Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening. ---Amen

May 21st Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 27.1-12-Men, I perceive that the voyage will certainly be with damage and great loss, not only of the cargo and the ship, but also of our lives.
2 Samuel 2.12-36-Thus the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD, for the men despised the offering of the LORD.
Psalm 50-Now consider this, you who forget God, or I will tear you to pieces, and there will be none to deliver.
Exodus 40.16-38-Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle.
--- --- ---
I make the "wrong way" obvious to you. Listen to Me. follow Me. Be filled with My Spirit and go the "right way" with Me.
---
There are many warnings and laws given by God that show us the "wrong way" to go. There are warnings given by prophets and disciples and priests and those given Voice from God that declare the "wrong way." God out of His Love tells us the "wrong way." He does this to protect us, to lead us, and to guide us in the "right way." He even provides some consequences for turning from Him that just may make an impact on us to teach us to turn around and follow Him. To go His way instead of our selfish ways.
---
Moses obeyed God in the set up of the tabernacle. Moses got specific instructions on what to do and carefully followed those instructions. I too must heed God's instruction. Turn to Him and let the temple of my soul; that place that God wants to reside, deep within me, be filled with the Cloud of His Holy Spirit and go the "right way" with God. I pray that God will help me do this.
---
Lord, I know You show the "right way." But I seem to want to go the "wrong way." I repent---I turn to You and ask You to forgive me, to lead me, to guide me, to fill me, in the "right way" this day. ---Amen

May 20th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 26.19-32-In a short time you will persuade me to become a Christian.
1 Samuel 1.1-2.11-My heart exults in the LORD...
Psalm 49-For the redemption of his soul is costly...
John 17.20-26-I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, so that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them, even as You have loved Me.
--- --- ---
Be one in each other; in Me and in My Love.
---
Jesus wants us to be one in Him and in each other and in His Love. Just like the love shown here between a couple of sisters at a local coffee shop, we are to love one another. Sure, we'll have our ups and downs. We will argue and fight. But there is something way deeper than what is on the surface. That is the Love God is trying to teach us to have for each other. That Love of God in Christ. I don't think we'll ever really fully learn this Love in this life on earth, but God will take us to it and complete that Love in us some day. Here, today, we practice this Love, learn more and more about this Love, and even fail at this Love from time to time. But we keep on working with the Spirit trying to become this Love to God and each other.
---
Paul received a sarcastic answer from the king at his trial. But even through this sarcastic answer, Paul kept on loving. He wanted all people to know of the Love of Christ. He wanted all people to become Christian like him, except for his prison chains. Paul was showing this Love of Christ even to a sarcastic king.
---
Hannah praised God for the Love she was shown by God in the birth of a son Samuel. She would give this gift back to God for His service, just as she had promised. Hannah loved God for His action in her life. I must love God for His action in my life and in the life of those around me. I must see the Love of God all throughout this life, creation and in others. God is teaching us His Love day by day.
---
This Love is so deep that God sent Jesus to redeem us, to save us, and to free us from our sin. And it cost Him plenty to do this. This Love is not cheap. This Love is beyond our comprehension. But God continues to daily show us His Love in the Spirit and in the life, suffering and death of Jesus. God is teaching us His Love day by day.
---
Let's unite in the Love; He in us and we in Him, loving one another, and daily learning and applying this Love to God and each other. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, You teach me the depth of Your Love each day. I'm learning. Never give up on me. Help me to love You and others this day. ---Amen

May 19th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 26.1-18-So then, all Jews know my manner of life from my youth up. which from the beginning was spent among my own nation and at Jerusalem...
Ruth 3-4-Now these are the generations of Perez:...and to Boaz, Obed, and to Obed was born Jesse, and to Jesse, David.
Psalm 48-We have thought on Your lovingkindness, O God, in the midst of Your temple.
Revelation 22.12-14, 16-17, 20-21-I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.
--- --- ---
Unite in the Spirit and grow together in Me.
---
This is Butters, Bryan's puppy that was kept, chasing Abraham and playing with his tail. Having fun and sticking together in joy.
---
Mom said last week that we all need to stick together. Take care of each other and stick together. We are family. It was like she was giving some ancient advice built through the years and out of the wisdom of age. Sometimes we chase each other, bite each other's tails. Sometimes it's in fun. Sometimes it's in retaliation for some hurt feelings. Sometimes we are just plain mean to each other. Most of the time it's just because we are playing. We need to stick together. We have known each other throughout life. Yet through life we change. God changes us. We also need to celebrate the change. See God's active hand in the growth of each other. Stick together and help each other grow together in Christ. Ruth and Naomi stuck together. The result was the fulfillment of the lineage to David and on to our Messiah Jesus. Ruth and Naomi stuck together through some tough times. Both had lost their husbands and both had to make a move. Ruth and Naomi stuck together. God adopts us as His children. Makes us members of this same family of faith from Abraham on and including Jesus. God stuck together with us too. He sent Jesus who took on our sin and saved all of us from death. Jesus stuck together with us. We need to stick together. Take care of one another. Mom, was right as usual. In her wisdom comes eternal advice from God. We need to stick together. Stick together and take care of one another. After all, Jesus took care of us and saved us all from death. We need to stick together.
---
Unite in the Spirit and grow together in Me. And stick together.
---
Lord, I hear Your Word ---I choose to stick together---take care of one another---unite in Your Spirit and grow in You. ---Amen

May 18th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 25-I also would like to hear the man myself.
Ruth 1-2-I will go, and where you lodge, I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God, my God.
Psalm 47-Sing praises with a skillful psalm.
Psalm 97-Be glad in the LORD, you righteous ones, and give thanks to His holy name.
--- --- ---
Sing praises to Me with a united voice, one and all.
---
This is a picture of some bamboo in Florida. When the wind would blow, these stalks would work together to make an unusual rustle sound. The stalks had to strike each other to make the noise. It reminds me of how I am to clap hands with another and praise God. It takes two or more to come together to create a "praise" sound to God. We worship together. We come together to hear God's Word, from God, through each other. We travel together. We go from place to place as a community of believers in God. We are faithful to God and to each other. We care for God and one another. And together we sing praises to God with skillful psalms. We are together in Christ. Loving Jesus and each other. Community in Christ. Corporate in Christ. Be glad in Christ, you righteous ones, and give thanks to His holy name. Now all together...
---
Lord, I give You all the glory, honor, and praise. I give you love. In fellowship with others we sing praises to You. ---Amen

May 17th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 24.10-27-Then he gave orders to the centurion for him to be kept in custody and yet have some freedom, and not to prevent any of his friends from ministering to him.
Judges 21-In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.
Psalm 46-The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold.
Ephesians 1.15-23-I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe.
--- --- ---
You are in this world, free in My Love, Rejoice and give Me thanks.
---
Paul was tossed into prison to be held for a while. In this world we may be put into various positions and places. Yet even while we are in custody, we have freedom. We are free in one way or another to talk to others. To love each other. To minister to one another of the Love of Christ.
---
At the end of the book of Judges it is stated that there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what they thought was right. No, there wasn't a king---there was though a King. Always had been, always will be a King. Jesus is our King throughout all time. God left the Law for people to be guided by. We today have not only the Law but the fulfillment of the Law in Jesus and the Comforter in the Holy Spirit to lead and guide us. We have it all. In this world but free in His Love.
---
It's true. The Lord of hosts is with us. It is in our Lord that we are made strong and free. I must rejoice in this freedom. Not abuse it, but use it to the glory of God. Day by day, I ask God to open the eyes of my heart. I ask God to enlighten me with His gifts and give me the direction to use what He gives me in service to Him and His Kingdom. Open the eyes of my heart Lord, I want to see You. To see You high and lifted up. Shining in the Light of Your glory. On this Ascension Day how I look to You and ponder Your glory. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, sometimes I want to sing the songs of Your glory all day long---over and over. Today I ask You to open the eyes of my heart---I want to see You! ---Amen

May 16th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 23.23-24.9-For we have found this man a real pest...
Judges 20-What is this wickedness that has taken place among you?
Psalm 45-Therefore the peoples will give You thanks forever and ever.
Acts 16.16-34-...and suddenly there came a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison house were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone's chains were unfastened.
--- --- ---
Don't let the stones of strife stand in your way. I give a path around them.
---
Sometimes it seems like boulders get in the way in my pathway of life. Maybe an illness, some sin, a financial issue, or even my own selfishness. They seem so huge. And I want to blame my problems on someone else. Maybe someone a little further along the path or something else. But the real issue isn't so much someone else. Sometimes it's just life and sometimes I'm to blame. This world has some illness and wickedness in it at this time. Things aren't really perfect yet. But if I open my eyes and concentrate less on the problems of life and more on my Savior, it becomes easy to see that God has provided a way around those boulders in the way. In Jesus gift of salvation an earthquake occurred and with this my prison chains fell free and I was released from sin and given a path around the illness and the wickedness and the sin of this world. Sure all those things still exist. They still get in the way, but Jesus provides the direction on down that path of life. Therefore I will give Jesus thanks forever and ever. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, You provide a way. I repent of my sin and ask you to guide me through life's path around the boulders that may come my way. ---Amen

May 15th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 22.30-23.22-But on the night immediately following, the Lord stood at his side and said, "Take courage; for as you have solemnly witnessed to My cause at Jerusalem, so you must witness at Rome also."
Judges 19-"Sustain yourself with a piece of bread, and afterward you may go."
Psalm 44-Rise up, be our help. and redeem us for the sake of Your lovingkindness.
Revelation 21.15-22-I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
--- --- ---
And My Spirit moves over the water. Moves behind, before, around, and within you, bringing My presence, My Comfort, My direction, My Peace.
---
I said good-bye last night in a dream. I said good-bye to my friend Arlene.
---
Dreams are strange. They seem to combine recent memory with memory of the past. They seem to combine little snippets of information into a picture or an emotion. Last evening the combination included, Word from Genesis, Word from this past Sunday sermon from my Pastor. Gifts from God. A balloon ride from a couple of years ago. An emotion from Sarah while in Christ Hospital.
---
My dream was simple but the meaning left me in a peaceful, comforting pondering state. I remember the peacefulness of a balloon ride I took a couple of years ago. I remember how the gentle breeze provided the direction. I remember the peaceful sounds from below. How the hustle and bustle of life below was slowed down and made beautiful. How all of God's creation became awesome in all it's glory. Then I saw Arlene in her balloon near-by mine. She floated away into the Light. Disappeared into the Light. It was peaceful and calm and comforting. It was a good-bye. It was beautiful in a way I can't describe with words.
---
Then with the dream came all the associations that follow. Somehow wrapped in comfort and peace. I recalled the words of our Pastor this past Sunday. How do you say good-bye to someone? I recalled the words of Jesus from the Gospel lesson. How he leaves but He doesn't leave. How he will leave us the Comforter and Peace. I recalled the sense of the Holy Spirit. Then I recalled the Word from Genesis. How the Spirit moved over the waters. Then God created Light. Wind in the Spirit. That gentle breeze. That gentle guiding breeze taking me along in my balloon of life. That gentle, peaceful, comfortable breeze that is behind me, before me, around me and within me. That breeze that connects Genesis with Revelation. That breeze that connects all of us throughout time. That Breeze that has blown throughout all time. That Breeze that ascended my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to heaven. That Breeze that blows Arlene to the Light of Christ. That Breeze that will take me someday to that Light. That Breeze, that Comforter, that Breath of God, that Holy Spirit.
---
This Breeze gifts us in unique ways. One of the ways this Breeze gifted Arlene was with her talents as a artist. Arlene could look at ugly and see the beauty in it. She could create beauty out of ugly. She could see the Beauty of God in all creation. She could see beauty in and through things that most of us ignore. She could see a combination of color that brought forth Beauty in this world. Arlene could see beauty in each person. This was a gift the Spirit gave her. And she used it. I think God looks down on creation like I could see from my balloon and makes it beautiful. I think Arlene could see this from her balloon too. I began to see it once I realized and saw the artistic gift God gave Arlene. Arlene taught me how to see God's beauty in the ugly. She saw the beauty in me in my ugly. What a wonderful gift she gave me. I can now see the beauty in the ugly. The beauty of God in all creation. I thank Arlene for teaching me this gift. As I float along in my balloon of life, I now see the beauty in the ugly. I know God sees us this way too. Sometimes when we see ugly, God has a way of lovingly looking past that, and highlights the beauty. Beauty in visuals, in music, in life. Beauty all around and ultimate Beauty in the Light He gave us. Beauty in that Breeze He gave us. Beauty in that Comforter and Peace freely given.
---
Finally I recalled in that dream the words from Sarah last evening. Sarah is in Christ Hospital. She broke into tears stating that she didn't want to be there. It wrenched my heart out to see my child in pain. But I also saw the beauty of a smile only moments later. As I float in my balloon of life, I see the ugly of pain and illness. The suffering. But I also see the beauty of the suffering that was done once for all of us in Jesus. Sarah is in Christ as we teased last evening. How safe can you be. The Breeze of God takes us through the downs and the ups. The Breeze of God will make this separation connect with our reunions. This Breeze will connect me with Sarah, with Arlene, with Christ. This Comforter, this Breeze brings Peace throughout space and time. We all want to be in union with that Light I saw Arlene drift into. We are all already in union with that Light and connected together by this Breeze, leading us, guiding us, blowing behind us, blowing before us, blowing within us, giving us the artistic gifts of God and providing direction in our individual lives.
---
So there you have it. A dream. A good-bye. A connection. A Breeze. An Ascended Christ. A Love beyond understanding. A blessing from God. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, thank You for good-byes---thank You for Your Breeze---thank You for connecting us together---thank You! ---Amen

May 14th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 21.37-22.29-And I answered, "Who are You, Lord?"
Judges 17-18-They said to him, "Inquire of God, please, that we may know whether our way on which we are going will be prosperous."
Psalm 43-O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me...
Luke 6.12-16-And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them...
--- --- ---
Look for the Original Light and let it spread your baptismal grace in the world, so that you will see clearly My Love.
---
I tried to replace this windshield wiper with a substitute. I ended up breaking the entire wiper. I had to replace this wiper with original factory parts. God wants me to be aware of false prophets and people that mislead me. People that may seem to take on the form of God's message but are not. The early Saul was like this. He was persecuting the Christians. But He saw the true Light on the road and his life was changed forever. The story of the Danites and Micah who were mislead by some priests who pretended to give an answer from God. They weren't the original Light. But they mislead the people. I must look to God's Original Light in Christ Jesus. Hear His truth, and let Him lead me. Just as Jesus called and taught His disciples, I must live out my baptism in His Light. I must let Jesus spread those baptismal waters over my windshield of life that I may see His Light and His Love day after day.
---
Lord, send me Your Light and Your Truth that I may daily live out my baptismal calling in You. ---Amen

May 13th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 21.1-36-When our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, the wives and children, escorted us until we were out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another.
Judges 16-So he told her all that was in his heart...
Psalm 42-As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God.
John 14.23-29-"You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I well come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I."
--- --- ---
I love you. I always will.
---
Word from God. He loves us. He always will. When we go away. God loves us. When we pray. God loves us. When we say farewell to Him. God loves us. When we return to Him. God loves us. We we leave one another. God loves us. When we confess our heart. God loves us. When we desire him more than water. God loves us. When He leaves us. God loves us. When He teaches us. God loves us. When He blesses us with His Spirit. God loves us. When He goes to the Father. God loves us. When He shows us His face. God loves us. When we sin. God loves us. When we repent. God loves us. When we sing. God loves us. When we go to proms. God loves us. When we love one another. God loves us.
---
God loves us. He always will.
---
I love you. I always will.
---
Lord, You teach love in so many ways. Ways too numerous to cite. I love you. I always will. ---Amen

May 12th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 20.17-38-In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." When he has said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.
Judges 14-15-And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him mightily so that the ropes that were on his arms were as flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds dropped from his hands.
Job 42-The LORD restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends...
Revelation 21.10, 22-22.5-Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming form the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kings of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
--- --- ---
Work hard, kneel in prayer with friends, pray for friends, feel the strength of My Spirit break free the bonds of sin, pain and death and know that I will heal all things.
---
This is my son Bryan. He visited last evening. It's good to talk to him. It's good to share our life stories with one another. It's good to spend time with family. Family that care and love for one another. Family that depend on each other and can talk about anything. It's good to hear and see in his youth the things that we strive to teach as he was growing up in our home. Like hard work, prayer, friendship, the graciousness of God, God's active Spirit in our lives, and the freedom God brings from sin, pain and death. It's good to have in common the understanding that God will, in the end, heal all things. God will restore all creation to His original intentions of it before we sinful beings destroyed it. God gives hope, love and salvation. God gives family. God gives blessings far beyond the pains of life. I'm proud of my son. I know of another proud Father and an awesome Son too! Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, thank you for sending my son to see me. And thank you for sending Your Son to save us all. ---Amen

May 11th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 20.1-16-There were many lamps in the upper room where we were gathered together.
Judges 13-And the Spirit of the LORD began to stir him...
Job 41-Who has given to Me that I should repay him?
Psalm 67-God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us---that Your way me be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations.
--- --- ---
Life is a journey with Meaning. I have graciously given you My Meaning.
---
So a young man probably 8 to 14 years old or so was listening to a sermon from Paul, late one night. It was probably warm from all the lamps burning in the upper room. I guess maybe he sought the windowsill for some air. He fell asleep and fell out the window. But this young man's life did not end here. God had some work for him to do.
---
A couple were visited by an angel. An unnamed angel. They were to have a son and dedicate this son to God as a Nazirite. This young man would become a judge of Israel and famous for his might. God had some work for him to do.
---
Job had suffered much. Lost his family. Only a few friends were left and they didn't seem very friendly. Job suffered from pain and disease. But God wasn't done with Job just yet. God had some work for him to do.
---
Pictured above is the water hose we use to water the flowers in the summer. It is put up in the winter so that any water in the hose doesn't freeze and bust the line or maybe even the valve to the house. Water that nourishes the flowers and together with God's action causes growth and beauty. God has work for you and I to do. He isn't done with us yet. We must listen to Him and seek to do His will this day and every day. We mustn't fret over worries, pain, sickness and such but know that God has work for us to do. All sorts of variety of work to do. God has some work for us to do. God be gracious to us and bless us. God make His face shine upon us and give us His peace. That His way may be known on this earth and that His salvation be known among all the nations. Yea---God has some work for us to do! Let the water of His Grace shower and soak the lives of all we meet this day. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, I give You thanks that You love me so much that you give me such a variety of work to do for You. ---Amen

May 10th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 19.21-41-So then, some were shouting one thing and some another, for the assembly was in confusion and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.
Judges 11.34-12.15-Then Jephthah gathered all the men of Gilead...
Job 40-Then the LORD answered Job out of the storm and said, "Now gird up your loins like a man..."
Acts 16.9-15-And on the Sabbath day we went outside the gate to a riverside, where we were supposing that there would be a place of prayer; and we sat down and began speaking to the women who had assembled.
--- --- ---
Gather together with My family in faith and love. Hear My instruction and teaching. Then go out with the gifts I give to serve and love Me and each other.
---
Sometimes we need to take a break from the game of life. Re-group and hear some instruction that calms us and energizes us and makes us realize the true talents and blessing we have. Hear how to correct a problem we may have. Gather together and help each other fight battles or encourage one another to gird up loins and continue on. We gather to pray. We gather to worship. We gather to sing. We gather together as God's Children gifted in multiple and various ways by the Spirit to do the work and will of God. Gather together with God's family in faith and love. Hear and go! Love God and one another.
---
Lord, I hear Your voice. I hear Your instruction. I see Your love. I go to love You and others this day. ---Amen

May 9th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 19.1-20-So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.
Judges 10.1-11.33-Now the Spirit of the LORD came upon Jephthah...
Job 39-Do you give the horse his might?
Leviticus 19.9-18-You shall not curse a deaf man, nor place a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall revere your God; I am the LORD.
--- --- ---
Realize the Power of the blessings I give to you and use these to My glory.
---
This is Jake my grandson. Jake is blind and has difficulty hearing and speaking. He doesn't move around quite like the rest of us. But Jake has it right. Yes, Jake has it right. Even with the difficulties Jake has to deal with in life, he is a gift from God to me. Jake works with how God has blessed him. Jake focuses on God's blessings and gifts in life, not the difficulties life has dealt him. I need to do this too. I think that's why God teaches us not to curse a deaf man. Don't get upset when the deaf can't hear you. That's as much your problem too. Learn how to communicate with them just like they learn how to communicate with you. Just because it is different to you doesn't mean my way of communication is the "right" way. God's way is the "right" way after all. God's way is the "Love" way. The same goes for the blind. Learn how to deal with the blind in love. Just as if you were blind too. Learn how to see together what God wants both of you to see. If we all strive to learn from each other our gifts and celebrate the gifts God has given us and not focus on our differences, how far could this world go? I think life would be so much more pleasant with one another if we focused on what gifts God has blessed us with and use those instead of dwelling on our differences and trying to make each other the same. God gave the horse his might and he gives us the gifts we need to serve Him in His Kingdom. And in these gifts we realize the Power. The Power that is the Holy Spirit's presence in our lives and in us. That awesome Power and Spirit of God which leaps to action in our lives and in this world, proclaiming a loving, generous, ever-faithful, ever-lasting, God of all creation. That Spirit of Power that comes upon us. It's no wonder that the Church proclaims the Word of the Lord throughout all time.
---
Yes, Jake, keep it up. Teach me to understand the blessing God has given you. You certainly have smacked a home-run in my life. And I know you have made God so proud of you. Let the Power of His Spirit continue to grow in you day by day.
---
Lord, teach me to see with Your eyes of Love the Spirit's gifts you give to others. Teach me to focus on the blessings. Teach me to use these gifts in my life to Your glory. Teach me Your ways. ---Amen

May 8th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 18-Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent...
Judges 9-But a certain woman threw an upper millstone on Abimelech's head, crushing his skull.
Job 38-Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind...
Acts 11.27-30-And in the proportion that any of the disciples had means, each of them determined to send a contribution for the relief of the brethren living in Judea.
--- --- ---
See and live the Truth of My Love, even in an angry world.
---
God's Love is awesome! I must see His Love day after day. His Love visible in the life, suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus. In His Love I don't need to be afraid. I can go on speaking about His Love and not be silent about how His Love is active in my life.
---
The woman in the story of Abimelech wasn't afraid. Abimelech was Gideon's son. Hungry for power he became the first declared King of Israel. But it wasn't a movement of God that declared him king, it was his own selfish desire for power. This won't work. In the end a woman threw a millstone over a wall and hit Abimelech in the head. Abimelech had one of his soldiers end his life in an attempt to avoid the embarrassment of being killed by a woman. This just goes to show even further how ignorantly proud Abimelech was.
---
I must act as God wishes me to act. Not how my pride and selfish ambitions lead me to act. I must realize that I must act out of the Truth of God's Love. I must respond in this angry world, not with my selfishness, but with God's Love. I, like the disciples in Acts must look to the needs of others and respond as I have been given means to respond. That is the Love of God. That response to holiness that God wants me to have because of what He has done for me first through His Son Jesus Christ. That is the fear of God. That awesome Love that comes to me in so many ways. That direction that speaks from the whirlwind at times and at other times in that still small voice. God directs me to respond to the Message of Jesus in Love. Love one another. Love as God has loved us. That's a real stretch target to try for, but it's the one God leads us forth to reach together with Him day after day.
---
See and live the Truth in My Love, even in an angry world.
---
Lord, I hear Your Message this day ---send me forth filled with Your Love that I may love others as You choose. ---Amen

May 7th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 17.16-34-May we know what this new teaching is which you are proclaiming? For you are bringing some strange things to our ears; so we want to know that these things mean.
Judges 7-8-Arise, for the LORD has given the camp of Midian into your hands.
Job 37-God thunders with His voice wondrously, doing great things which we cannot comprehend.
Acts 11.19-26-And for an entire year they met with the church and taught...
--- --- ---
Look to the center of Life in Me and you will see the Love I wish you to have, one for another.
---
Last evening I got news of a dear friend of mine who died suddenly. At least it was sudden news to me. A friend that I had drawn close to over years of teaching Sunday School with. We were together for maybe twenty years or so. It's funny how memory fades, clears, maybe even gets enhanced and becomes untrue at times. But most of the facts really don't matter all that much. It's all in the story of Love God gives us in life anyway. This friend of mine was Arlene Klafter. We began teaching together when the partner I had been with, teaching High School Sunday School, moved away. So I was teamed with Arlene, teaching 7th and 8th grade students. Then after maybe a year or two, we moved to the High School group. This teaching assignment with Arlene lasted maybe twenty years or so, I'm not sure.
---
In those twenty years or so of friendship, we grew close. We grew close to one another and even closer to God. We grew close to the many students to whom we taught the Love of God. Sunday after Sunday we would pour out our love and faith to so many children and to each other and to God in praise and worship and prayer. Deep relationships build strong over years together. Then Arlene's husband, my Pastor, died. We shared emotions, dreams and mourned together the death of her husband and my Pastor. And after a few years, Arlene saw the need to change life and move to Arizona in retirement. This picture is a picture of Arlene at a ceremony celebrating her life at our congregation and church at Zion. I am presenting Arlene a gift of candy sprinkles. Sprinkles of sweet life we shared together while teaching.
---
In those years teaching High School Sunday School together, Arlene and I were led to develop several strangely odd, yet awesome understandings of the Love of God. We taught "turd theories" and "donut theology." Yea, we sure brought some strange things to the ears of the youth at Zion. Jumbling words around for fun. Ceremonies of the table which was the floor being covered by a blue table cloth. Each Sunday a student would spread the blue table cloth on the floor as if it was some official church tradition. I guess it became one of sorts anyway. Really the blue table cloth was our answer to some complaints from members of the congregation that the kids were getting donut crumbs on the carpet. So each Sunday the blue table cloth was spread at the beginning of the class and at the end of the class gathered up and shaken outside to free it of the dropped donut crumbs.
---
Donuts...such a highlight for a high school youth for some reason. A treat for all. And we would welcome visitors who would stop by for a donut. Especially the Pastor. He would stop in for a donut. He always seemed to take the donut that the kids would least likely pick themselves. Even some odd traditions of hiding that least liked donut under the couch from the Pastor. My memory has faded on that one some but I'm sure we applied a message from God to the meaning of that action.
---
You see with the donuts came a couple of teaching stories Arlene and I would use year after year. One was the "Turd Theory" which would really get Arlene excited and loud, hooting and hollering about it's outlandishness. The other was "Donut Theology." I, think that one was Arlene's favorite. But the two worked beautifully hand-in-hand.
---
The "Turd Theory" revolves around the image that we are all like turds in the backyard of the universe. We can smell the stink of our sin. We know we don't amount to much. And being a turd, a tiny turd, God appears in this universe as way out there. Way beyond imagination. Really, really huge! And here we are that small stinky turd laying in the backyard of life.
---
Then going hand in hand we have that awesome reversal. That awesome Love. That incomprehensible God of all. We have "Donut Theology." Picture the donut with candy sprinkles. The donut with a whole in the center. A whole which is multi-dimensional. A whole beyond space and time. A vortex with the presence of God at the center of the donut. You see the world doesn't exist like we think it does. We are not the turd at the center with God looking down from way way, far far above. God is with us and is the center. We aren't turds after all to God. God's Love for us is so outlandish that in His eyes we are sweet sweet candy sprinkles of Love He has purposely spread all over this creation of His. We aren't at the center...God is at the center with us and changes us from nasty, smelly, turds, to sweet, loving, candy sprinkles of Life in His created world of the donut! God has gifted us with His presence of Love through His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ and changed us from turds to sweet Spirit filled Sprinkles of Love and Life. "Donut Theology" at it's best. Awesome limitless Love of God centered beyond space and time in our lives of faith and love, one for another.
---
A message that still brings chills to me. I can't understand the Love of God. But I sure know of such evidence that it exists! So back to Arlene.
---
I remember telling Arlene of a dream I had when Pastor Klafter died. I dreamt that many of us were all together. Each of us in the dark, holding our baptismal candles. Walking around in the dark, bumping into one another. Then all of the sudden there was a great light off to the side somewhere. Pastor exclaimed that he was going towards that Light. He went with his candle to the greater Light. Then he disappeared. This dream brought some comfort to me at this time of mourning.
---
Last night as I shed a tear and mourned in the silence of my bed, for myself really. I thought of Arlene, I thought of the blessings of our time together, and I thought of this dream. Then I came to the certain realization that somewhere, someplace, in some time I can't explain; Arlene and I are together clearly seeing the glory of that Light. Teaching once again some "Turd Theory" and "Donut Theology" to some young and growing Christians on the brink of that sweet sprinkle filled Life God was developing in them. Looking at the center of that donut, clearly seeing the Love of God expressed through Jesus Christ.
---
Arlene was without a doubt a great, sweet, sprinkle of Life that God graciously granted to me. Thanks Arlene, and thanks be to God!
---
Lord, I give You thanks for Life. I give you thanks for changing us. I give You thanks for sweet sprinkles. I give You thanks for coming to the center of my life. I give You thanks and praise for Arlene. ---Amen

May 6th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 17.1-15-And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas...
Judges 6-...please let me make a test once more...
Job 36-Behold, God is exalted, and we do not know Him; the number of His years is unsearchable.
John 13.31-35-By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
--- --- ---
I will help you overcome your fears. Trust in Me.
---
Abe is afraid to get a drink of water out of this bucket. Abe is a frequent visitor in our house. The other dogs are larger dogs and they both use this same bucket to get a drink out of. However, when Abe goes to get a drink out of this slightly larger bucket for his size, his tags jingle against the side and scare him. So Abe is afraid to get a drink out of this bucket. The other dogs seem to be persuading Abe to get a drink by giving examples of how to do it, but Abe just hasn't quite overcome his fear yet. Paul and Silas persuaded many people to overcome fears and give their lives to Jesus. To become faithful followers of the Messiah.
---
Gideon seemed to be fearful of making the wrong decisions and tested God many times before believing and following what God had asked for him to do. But God helped Gideon overcome his fears.
---
Job had so many fears. He couldn't figure out why God had abandoned him. Yet God didn't abandon him. God was with him through the pain and suffering.
---
And then the fear of stepping out in love for another. Possibly someone who is difficult to love. God wants us to love one another. But sometimes we are afraid.
---
I think at some point we must trust in God. Overcome our fears with God's help. He always helps; but I think we need to turn to Him and ask too. I need to turn first to God. Trust Him and then believe He will help me in my fear. It's not all that easy at times. My sinful self keeps getting in the way of turning to God in trust. But I learn through the fear and pain that I must turn to God. I will always fail myself. Only God can save me. And God has! He sent His Son to save me from fear, sin, death and the devil. I must trust in this. I must place all my hope and trust in God's saving grace through Jesus Christ my Savior.
---
Lord, at times, I'm so afraid. Help me. Lead me. Comfort me. Give me the faith and trust I need to repent and turn from my selfish ways and trust in You. ---Amen

May 5th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 16.16-40-Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.
Judges 4-5-I-to the LORD, I will sing, I will sing praise the the LORD, the God of Israel.
Job 35-...and you must wait for Him!
Revelation 21.1-6-Behold, I am making all things new.
--- --- ---
Believe
Sing
Wait
New
Things are changing through Me.
---
I believe. God changes me. God saves me. God uses me to proclaim my faith to my household. Proclaim my belief and faith to all I meet. I sing His praises. I wait on God to act. I wait and I hope and I wonder. God promises to make all things new and He will. I believe this. I sing of this. I wait for this. God will make all things new. Wipe every tear away. Fix this broken sinful world. Fix my broken sinful life. Believe---Sing---Wait---New---Things are changing through God. Thanks be to God!
---
Lord, I know You have plans to make all things new. I believe---I sing---I wait ---Amen

May 4th Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 16.1-15-...a worshiper of God was listening; and the Lord opened her heart to respond to the things spoken by Paul.
Judges 2-3- But when the sons of Israel cried to the LORD, the LORD raised up a deliverer for them, Ehud the son of Gera, the Benjamite, a left-handed man.
Job 34-Teach me what I do not see...
Psalm 148-Praise the LORD!
--- --- ---
Open your heart to Me the seen and unseen and respond to my Love.
---
The "other" puppy. A new life. I give my life to God. God gives me new life. God opens my heart and shows me the Savior. I see the Savior at times and at other times I see His unseen grace. I respond to His Love for me. I respond in belief and faith. God gives me this faith. God acts in me through His Spirit in response. God has raised a Deliverer for us to take care of us. But also uses us. Even if we are left-handed, God uses what this world takes as a handicap to rescue His people and show them His grace. Teach me Lord, what I do not see. Show me Lord Your grace in what I see and don't see. I will always praise the Lord!
---
Lord, open me heart this day---use me---use my gifts and use my weaknesses to bring praise and glory to You. Praise the Lord! ---Amen

May 3rd Daily Word and Visions from God

Acts 15.22-41-And there occurred such a sharp disagreement that they separated from one another...
Judges 1-Who shall go up first for us...?
Job 33-...listen to me.
Acts 11.1-18-And I remembered the word of the Lord...
--- --- ---
Turn to My Word and behold the grace shown.
---
If I look to the Word of God I will see the love of Jesus. I will see the grace shown. Even in the disagreements between Christians, God can make the Word visible and strengthen His Church. Even in separation, the Church, through God, is strengthened. When there are decisions to be made on who will go first, who will go where, turn to the Word and see the grace shown. Listen and see Christ in the Word. Daily turn to the Word. And when you tend to forget---remember the Word of the Lord. For the Word will blossom in beauty.
---
Lord, I turn to Your Word this day and listen to Your Voice. I hear grace and love and see the direction You wish me to take. ---Amen
