May 6th - Reflection

1 Peter 1:13-16 (NRSV)
A holy life
Therefore prepare your minds for action; discipline yourselves; set all your hope on the grace that Jesus Christ will bring you when he is revealed. Like obedient children, do not be conformed to the desires that you formerly had in ignorance. Instead, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct; for it is written, "You shall be holy, for I am holy."
Reflection
How do we look forward to the grace that the revelation of Jesus Christ brings to us? We look forward in joy and thanksgiving. We look forward with a happiness of service and love for God and for one another. We look forward with a great anticipation of the holyness that God has graciously given us because God is holy. So we prepare and set all of our hope on the grace that Jesus Christ has revealed to all the world.

Prayer
All our hope, joy and life comes from you Lord. Reveal you love through me this day in love and service to one another. --- Amen
