June 4th - Reflection

Psalm 93 (NRSV)
Praise to God who reigns
The Lord is king, he is robed in majesty;
the Lord is robed, he is girded with strength.
He has established the world; it shall never be moved;
your throne is established from of old;
you are from everlasting.

The floods have lifted up, O Lord,
the floods have lifted up their voice;
the floods lift up their roaring.
More majestic than the thunders of mighty waters,
more majestic than the waves of the sea,
majestic on high is the Lord!

Your decrees are very sure;
holiness befits your house,
O Lord, forevermore.
Reflection
Just take a walk and look around. Look up and see the sky so vast and far, endless. The sky filled with clouds or crystal blue. Look down and see the grass. Look closely and you will witness an entire community of moving and living life. Look back up and listen to the bird. Hear the bark of dogs and then the noise of traffic. In one way or another, God created all of this or enabled the creation of all of this. God provided all the resources for all you see all around you right now.

And God has given you the faith to accept God. We can speak to God directly, we can worship God corporately, we can be with God at any time and any place. God has given us the faith to do this. The very God that creates and sustains everything we can see and so much more all that we can't see.

This God loves us deeply to save us from our sinful self and provide for a way for us to unite with God through Jesus. This God, through Jesus saves us and loves us. How much more do we wish that all the world know about our God?

Praise the God who reigns! Praise God!

Prayer
I'm awestruck God. Sitting, standing, walking or just looking around, you love is amazing! Thanks! --- Amen
