November 29th Reflection by Bill Lynch

The King shall come when morning dawns
Author: John Brownlie (1907)
I
The King shall come when morning dawns,
And light triumphant breaks;
When beauty gilds the eastern hills,
And life to joy awakes.
II
Not as of old, a little child
To bear, and fight, and die,
But crowned with glory like the sun,
That lights that morning sky.
III
O, brighter than the rising morn,
When He, victorious rose,
And left the lonesome place of death,
Despite the rage of foes;—
IV
O, brighter than that glorious morn,
Shall this fair morning be,
When Christ, our King, in beauty comes,
And we His face shall see.
V
The King shall come when morning dawns,
And earth’s dark night is past;—
O, haste the rising of that morn,
That day that aye shall last.
VI
And let the endless bliss begin,
By weary saints foretold,
When right shall triumph over wrong,
And truth shall be extolled.
VII
The King shall come when morning dawns,
And light and beauty brings;—
Hail! Christ the Lord; Thy people pray
Come quickly, King of kings.

Hymn
Author: Bill Lynch

That day the sun begins to rise,
all creatures of this earth,
will move and rise from slumber then,
and see the day of new birth.

As your glorious plan unfolds,
they'll lift their eyes to the skies,
they will see the Son of Man
in glory before their eyes.

His power will be so awesome,
they'll know that redemption's near,
as they stand and raise their heads,
heavens joyful song to hear.

Glory to the King and Savior,
praise is sung through all the earth.
For Jesus comes upon the clouds,
with bright white light a shining.

Prayer
We read of your coming, Lord Jesus and prepare ourselves. For you are the King of all your people. The day will be a glorious day when we see you face to face. Fill us with your love and may we live that love for one another, until that day that you arrive, we'll live our lives with you and look to that day when you arrive in the clouds and in the light. Come, Lord Jesus, come... today... tomorrow... and forever --- Amen
