God's Word of the Day
See and taste the Bread from heaven that the Father gives. This Bread brings life.

Story of the Day
As the detectives gathered clues from the crime scene; they began to notice a pattern. It seemed as if the clues were placed intentionally by someone. It seemed as if this crime would be solved on it's own. They were looking for clues as to who may have planned the escape and rescue of a known criminal. The prisoner disappeared from prison without one guard knowing it. But the clues were so obvious. From the prisoners cell were a trail of bread crumbs. It was a trail that showed the path of escape. It was as if these clues were way too obvious. How could the guard not have noticed a trail of bread crumbs that showed the prisoners path of escape? It was all too obvious. So at an entourage of detectives and guards followed the bread crumbs that seemingly dropped from heaven, they retraced the steps of the prisoner. The crumbs led from the cell to the prison chapel and stopped there. The prisoner left the prison cell, went to the chapel and was free. Bread from heaven freed this prisoner. As the detectives gathered clues from the crime scene; they began to notice a pattern. It seemed as if the clues were intentionally placed by someone. Right there at the end of the trail of bread crumbs, in the chapel, their eyes were opened, and the crime was solved!

Prayer of the Day
Lord, I give You thanks for Your life-giving Bread from heaven. I give you thanks for release from this prison of sin. Send me out today free in Your Word. Free to serve in Your Kingdom. Guard me from the evil within me and around me. I give You thanks for Your steadfast love and compassion, my Savior who comes down in and through that life-giving Bread! ---Amen
