February 20th People Reflection

Monday 2/20/2006

Matthew 2-Where can we pay homage to the newborn King of the Jews?

Exodus 22-23-Now get yourselves ready…

Proverbs 10-GOD is solid backing to a well-lived life…

1 Esdras 9.37-55-And they came together.

Psalm 56-I trust you and am not afraid…

Matthew 26.57-67-Tell us, are you the Messiah, the Son of God?

Psalm 35.1-3, 11-18-And when your people meet, I will praise you and thank you, Lord, in front of them all.

"We got some free bread!" –A comment out of the blue- the conversation was of something else- but this statement just had to be made. And it’s true on many levels. Yea- We got some free bread – and a little wine too. The Wise men visited the Savior paying homage to the King of the Jews- the King of Lives- the King of my life- and saw some free bread- a bread to prepare me for a journey in life- just like the Israelites ate bread and took off on a journey that would change people forever- Now get ready for that journey- and always know that God is there with me—and then they came together once again- the Chosen People then in exile – got back together and worshiped once again a God who is always faithful- and God that takes away fear and can always be trusted - the Son of God – my Messiah—how can I help from meeting together and praising God in front of anyone. "We got some free bread!" – Thanks be to God!

Prayer-Lord, thank you for the sustenance of that Bread! -- Amen
