November 15th People Reflections

Tuesday 11/15/2005

James 3-But the wisdom that comes from above leads us to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere.

Jeremiah 25-26-My voice will be heard everywhere on earth…

Psalm 131-you must trust the LORD now and forever

Revelation 18.9-20-For God has given judgement

1 Corinthians 15.51-58-Listen, I will tell you a mystery!

Psalm 26-redeem me, and be gracious to me

"Was that lightening?"—A storm coming in- flashes of lightening and then the downpour- in some way I think of God’s message here- his voice will be heard everywhere on earth- when the lightening flashes and the thunder comes everyone perks up- looks around- god’s judgement will be like that- we will all perk up and look around- the mystery will be revealed to all- but God has given u reason to perk up and look around before he comes- because he has come already- he has come and is with us- through the Sprit we are given wisdom in the Word- wisdom to be pure, friendly, gentle, sensible, kind, helpful, genuine, and sincere- the mystery is known through the Word and the Spirit- we must trust in God now and forever- "Was that lighening?" – yea—and listen to the thunder!

Prayer- Lord I hear your thunder and I see your lightening- let me hear your voice in the silence and wisdom -- Amen
