"I’m doing my laundry."- Sarah at LR- doing the laundry on a Sunday afternoon. – We all have to clean up our soiled clothes from time to time—maybe we do it a little at a time – or let them pile up and do a whole bunch at once- but they have to be cleaned- they are agitated clean- with soap- agitated- spinned and dried – sometimes I feel like a dirty sock in life- in the wash- agitated- spinning – tumbled dry- maybe even lost somewhere in the washer- and that’s why we need to pray for everyone- we all get jumbled up in life sometimes- but God will wash all of our sins away – and show us how to continue in his Word- to go along with the spin and the tumble dry- to go to the sanctuary in the midst of our agitation and behold his glory- to look up to heaven and see the Son of Man – to see Jesus- I ask God for wisdom and sense—and maybe after the agitation-the soap-the spin-the tumble dry-when that dryer door opens in the end- there will be Jesus to take me in his arms- to put me on his foot- and off we go in service and love to play with others – "I’m doing my laundry."—Yea- and I’m ready to be worn a while- use me.
Prayer- Lord, wear me today- use me in your kingdom- sweat a little- get me dirty and throw me back in the wash for tomorrow. -- Amen
