July 1st Daily Word and Visions from God

July 1st Daily Word and Visions from God
Mark 11.1-14-Hosanna in highest heaven!
1 Kings 1-Everyone joined the fanfare, the band playing and the people singing, the very earth reverberating to the sound.
Hosea 4.11b-5.4-Don't go around saying "GOD bless you" and not mean it, taking God's name in vain.
2 Corinthians 8.7-15-For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ...

A personal area of focus on God. Containing visual representations that remind us of God. A cross, a candle, some beads to help with prayer, the Bible, the Word of God a prayer book. Items that help us along the way. Items that point to Jesus our Savior. Never replacing our Savior but point to him. Show the direction. Jesus entered Jerusalem as a humble King. Entered to a crowd in praise of him. Yet he knew that the road ahead would be painful. He knew he would suffer and die for these praising people. Contrast this to the beginning of King Solomon's rule. His brother was trying to take the throne from David. However, word got out to David and David placed Solomon as King. What a difference. In our human desires we are selfish and are concerned about our own honor and glory. Yet with Jesus Kingship, he is humble and riding on in service to all heading towards pain and suffering and death. Yet resurrection and triumph. That donkey that Jesus rode was pointing to the way our King would change this world, change us, and change all time. A donkey pointing to the King. And pointing to the grace of God through Jesus my Savior. In this pointing we see the sincerity of God. May all our words be this sincere and honest. For we now know by all that points to Jesus the Grace of God!

Lord, use me this day to point others to You. -- Amen
