January 27th People Reflection

Friday 1/27/2006

Luke 20.1-26-His answer caught them off guard and left them speechless.

Genesis 35-36-This accounts for the family tree of Esau, ancestor of all Edomites.

Psalm 27-Light, space, zest—that’s God!

Deuteronomy 18.15-20-I will give my message to that prophet, who will tell the people exactly what I have said.

Genesis 3.8-15-The LORD called out to the man and asked, "Where are you?"

Psalm 24-Open the ancient gates, so that the glorious king may come in.

"That was fun!"- Fun with a friend- fun being together- fun working along side each other- fun with life- Ministry is fun also- when God gives the gifts and I find them and use them- it all turns into fun- Sometimes I don’t realize what God has done for me until I stop – Reflect- think about it—and that’s when Jesus answer always catches me off guard- Jesus has a way of turning things around- Jesus is light- then I think of how Jesus transcended space and time- God is zest! – yea- that’s God!- And all the fun ways that God speaks- through prophets that you would least expect to hold the Word of God- And God makes me reflect on my sin so that I realize how wonderful his grace is in my life- Where are you? – What are you doing? – Why are you doing that? – Stop and think-reflect and listen – Open the gates of my heart and hear – really hear what God wants me to do- let the glorious king into my life and worship-praise-adore and follow him-seeking and doing his will – "That was fun!" – Yea-it sure was!

Prayer-Jesus, as you come to my door this day, I’m going outside to play with you and some other friends of mine-Mom!- I’m goin out to play for a while! -- Amen
