December 20th Daily Word and Visions from God

Colossians 2.20-3.17-From now on everyone is defined by Christ, everyone is included in Christ. So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline, Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It's your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other...And sing, sing you hearts out to God!
Ezekiel 29-30-There's no way he'll ever swing a sword again.
Isaiah 55-Hey there! All who are thirsty, come to the water!
Micah 5.2-5a-His people will live securely, and the whole earth will know his true greatness, because he will bring peace.

Caroling to the sick, elderly and shut-in. A time to bring great news to people of this earth. News of a Savior. I love to go caroling. I feel the Spirit moving in and through me. I see the effects of the Spirit in the faces and emotions of other carolers and of those we sing to. I get choked up with powerful words of praise. I get tears in my eyes seeing God's Love all around. We are called and chosen to rejoice in what God has done. We are called and chosen to live in compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, even discipline, forgiving hearts and the love of Christ. We can only do this with the help and grace of God. Called and sent to sing our hearts out to God and to one another about our God and Savior. Called and chosen to live a different and changed life. One that takes no pride in revenge or ever swings the sword again. Called to live with Christ who came to defeat the Evil One and take his sword away--never to swing again. Hey there! All who are thirsty, come to the water! Come to your baptism and live with Christ. Live securely and know true greatness because he brings peace. Peace on Earth and good will toward all people. Called and chosen to sing and praise God to one and all. Even on a cold night in December. Even in the homes of those we love. Sing even to those who we don't know but know God loves. Sing! Sing! Sing!
---
Lord, I sing of your love today, tomorrow and forever! ---Amen
