Matthew 3-...for I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children to Abraham.
Exodus 24-...and they saw the God of Israel. Under his feet there was something like a pavement of sapphire stone, like the very heaven for clearness.
Proverbs 11-Whoever belittles another lacks sense, but an intelligent person remains silent.
Colossians 1.15-23-He is the image of the invisible, God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, wheather thrones or dominions or rulers or powers--all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything, For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

Hebrews 13-For the bodies of those animals whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest as a sacrifice for sin are burned outside the camp. Therefore Jesus also suffered outside the city gate in order to sanctify the people by his own blood. Let us then go to him outside the camp and bear the abuse he endured.
Exodus 18-19-When the trumpet sounds a long blast, they may go up on the mountain.
Proverbs 8-I have good advice and sound wisdom; I have insight, I have strength.

Jesus, My Savior was the slaughtered lamb.
Jesus, You gave Yourself for me.
Outside the city, in the world, with me in my sin, so much took place.
I come to You, Jesus, and gaze upon that pole outside the city.
I gaze and kneel in awe of Your love.
I see You on the cross.
I am bitten by the snake of sin, yet You hang from that pole.
I am bitten, sinful, deserving death on the cross.
In You sin dies and I live.
The Lamb is brought into the sanctuary.
The darkness of the tomb holds Your body.
Yet You do not die, You live.
Sins dies and You live!
What glory You have revealed, my Lamb from the pole of that cross.
What glory You reveal from the darkness of the tomb.
What glory You reveal in life.
Now I go outside this temple, outside this city.
I go alive and well and heed the sound of the trumpet.
I go fed with Wisdom, fed with Your body and blood.
I go refreshed with the living water, in joy.
I go outside the city to the cross.
I go in service to You.
I go in joy with You.
I go to my cross, outside the city.
I go and delightfully serve You in Your Kingdom.
I go to that cross outside the city.

Oh, how You love me.
Oh, how You love this world You created.

Hebrews 11.22-40-By faith...Yet all these, though they were commended for their faith, did not recieve what was promised, since God had provided something better so that they would not, apart from us, be made perfect.
Exodus 15-I will sing to the LORD, for he has trimphed gloriously; horse and rider he has thrown into the sea.
Proverbs 6.1-7.5-My child, keep my words and store up my commandments with you; keep my commandments and live, keep my teaching as the apple of your eye; bind them on your fingers, write them on the tablet of your heart.
Psalm 121-I lift up my eyes to the hills--- from where will my help come? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
God's Word of the Day
I heal, rescue, and save you in the desert of your sin. You need me. I am your source of help.

As I walk through this desert of sin, I turn to You, oh Lord.
I am drowning in my sin and need You.
Only You can save me from myself.
Only You can save me from sin.
Open the waters and show me the path.
Give me the courage to step out in faith.
In faith fulfilled by Your action of grace.
Your action of grace, when You came down.
Came down to rescue all from sin.
Came down to die to live.
Came down to save us.
And I turn and see Your action.
I see what You have done.
I praise Your name and give You the glory.
You are my help in this desert.
You, the maker of heaven and earth.
The God of all has rescued His people.
You have sent us on a journey.
Lead me with Your love.
Let me show Your love and compassion on this journey through the wilderness.
Let me trust and follow Your lead.
For You have provided, Jesus, something better, something perfect!
As I walk through this desert of sin, I turn to You, oh Lord.
And I turn and see Your action.
